Kids' Permaculture Workshops

Join Mountains Gourmet and Alchemy Farms for a day of exploration and learning at the Blue Mountains Kids Permaculture workshops on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024!

Children aged 6-12 years old will be invited to delve into the world of sustainability and ecology through engaging activities designed to foster responsibility, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Key information:

• When: Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, with two sessions available (10:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm)
• Who: Children aged 6-12 years old
• Price: $45.00 per session or $80.00 for both
• Parents: Welcome to stay or leave children under the guidance of two local permaculture teachers, Leni and Rhiannon
• Limit: 15 children per session
• What to Bring: Sun protection, water, snacks, suitable attire for outdoor activities
• Where: Mountains Gourmet Bullaburra plot (Kookaburra Soul-food Garden)

In the morning session 10.00 am - 12.00 noon, "Seeds and Seedling Care," children will learn about planting, germination, and nurturing seedlings to take home.   The afternoon session (1.00 pm - 3.00 pm) "Water & Soil," explores the significance of healthy water and techniques for soil conservation.
